Our 'Ruby Reds' are known for their hardiness and exceptional beef quality. Under the guidance of our farm manager, Ricky Atkins, the Larkbarrow Herd has earned acclaim, winning Best Large Herd and Overall Best Herd from the Devon Cattle Breeders' Society in 2022.

This local breed doesn't just look good on the hills; they're efficient grazers that make the most of what Exmoor's rugged terrain offers.

Exmoor Horn Sheep

Exmoor Horn sheep have been of the local landscape for centuries. Our flock, also overseen by Ricky Atkins, has earned recognition for its superior wool, including first place in the 2016 Golden Fleece competition. 

More recently, at the September 2023 Blackmoor Gate Sale, our ewe lambs achieved the top price of £146, reflecting the breed's enduring value.
